Nursery equipment needs to be maintained from time to time
A Nursery is a place where children have fun and grow socially with help from educators. Games and nursery equipment are a part of learning at most nurseries where social play is encouraged. This helps children to work together as a group right from an early age and this activity helps teachers to identify a child’s capabilities by monitoring them while they play.
Children always love playground and nursery equipment. Toys and equipment in class also form an integral part of the experience when teachers associate toys with learning. Toys also help children when it comes to their recognition skills. Educational toys also help kids to sharpen their motor movements. Colourful and vibrant equipment at a nursery can be modified for a change and adapted for different uses depending on the time of day.
But it is often shocking to discover how the very equipment that makes children happy can also damage their memories if they don’t function properly or are not maintained well. Playground and nursery equipments hence need to be fully functional at all times with regular maintenance checkups from experts. Damaged equipment needs to be repaired or replaced immediately. As there are a lot of hazards when it comes to toys, the right toys need to be selected, keeping the right age-group in mind by the nursery. Toys also need to be non-toxic and more importantly safe to play with.
Another important topic that arises when it comes to nursery equipment is how often they are cleaned. It is vital to clean and sanitize all nursery equipment on a daily basis to prevent the spread of infections or germs from child to child. This also helps in reducing the number of children falling ill & hence reducing absenteeism while promoting a hygienic environment at the nursery.
The Kensington Nursery at Umm Sequim and the nursery at the Dubai Silicon Oasis have equipment which has been carefully selected and conforms to internationally accepted standards such as the British Standards Institution (BSI); the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO); and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). All toys and equipment at the nurseries are lead-free and non-toxic. All toys and equipment at The Kensington Nursery are cleaned daily, checked for damages and replaced as and when needed assuring parents that their children will have fun while being under the umbrella of safety.
