Most are also required to be associated with or employed by a registered broker dealer of brokerage firm. People who wish to work with brokers should often ensure their status with regulatory bodies like the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority or similar authority in your country.

Becoming a stock market broker is a tedious and complicated process that will probably need to take up a lot of time and become a career. If they are not willing or sure they wish to put in all this time and effort it is better to employ a broker, trading platform, or brokerage firm to participate in the stock market. Today, online trading platforms and automated trading systems can help the average person trade in the market without the need to employ their own personal broker or brokerage firm that may require some additional costs and other fees.
