Dedicated T1 line service providers are competitive
A T1 line is a telephone line based on a copper or fiber optic cable but which can handle much more data than what the traditional lines normally do. It is sometimes called a T-carrier line and its existence can be accredited to AT&T Bell Company. T1 lines were traditionally being used with nothing but twisted copper cabling but these are slowly being replaced by the more efficient fiber optic cables. Like with any other service, there are companies that specialize in the delivery and provision of these services. Because of the variation of T carriers and the different data capabilities they possess, it is a very competitive market and providers strive hard to get the attention they need.
Which are the various T1 line services that providers offer?
There are several services offered by the various internet T1 service providers and the provider who can offer the most and the best services definitely get the most out of the business. The first broadband services that a provider may want to offer his clients is the business DSL. This kind of connection can work at speeds ranging from 250kilobits per second to 1.5megabits per second. It can be used by a maximum of about 50 people at a go and is therefore not suitable for very big businesses. The second type of service is the T1 line service for data only. This is a data only connection and is slightly more expensive than the Business DSL one. It is far more stable and therefore reliable than the DSL. Its uptime (which is what entrepreneurs consider) is also very good. While the DSL will go for slightly less than 80 dollars monthly, the T1 data connection will require a monthly fee of up to 1200 dollars.
Another service is the T1 for voice communication and many companies prefer this when their dealings involve a lot of direct voice contact. It can handle 24 voice connections at once and has the advantage of being connected straight form the backbone of the provider. Some companies however prefer to have both the T1 voice and T1 data connections and so they go for the integrated T1. Your provider will inform you that you can split the broadband so that you only have as much voice connection as you need and as much data as you need. There are two more types of services provided by these companies and they are the multiple T1s and the DS3 connections which can handle about 50 and 100 users respectively.
