Make a Statement with a Monogram Wall Decal

By Ali Abrahimia Subscribe to RSS | February 23rd 2012 | Views:

Vinyl decals aren’t just for store windows any more. In fact, one of the hottest trends in interior decorating, these decals can be matched to any décor, are easy to install and remove and add a pop of color no matter where you are.

One of the best ways to customize a child’s room or a recreation area is with a monogram decal. These are available in many colors and styles, from simple to elaborate, and unlike other decorating concepts, your child’s monogram will never be outgrown.

Taking it Into the Bedroom

Monogram wall decals are ideal as the focal point on an otherwise empty wall. Whether you choose a single initial, a trio or even a name, monogramming a bedroom wall adds a special touch. You can even add to the look with borders or additional decals.

If your son is an avid soccer player, use a monogram of his initials over the bed and on another wall include a custom cut decal of a player, mid-kick. Your daughter might appreciate seeing her name in pink lettering with a flock of dragonflies or a ballerina nearby.

Of course, not all monogram wall decals belong in the bedroom, they can be used in any room of the house.

Lobby, Rec Room or Kitchen, Monogram Wall Decals Work

A home is a physical representation of that family that lives within. Imagine placing your family monogram in the entryway. Some of the custom vinyl decals are indistinguishable from professional painting. Your family’s name can be displayed as a crest or stamp; a wonderful way to show pride in your heritage.

Down in the recreation area you can use your monogram wall decal as the center point in a wall full of photos. As your children grow you accumulate so many photos that they can take over your home if you don’t have a designated area. This is a practical, yet stylish way of keeping all of those milestones front and center.

Even in the kitchen a monogram can be incorporated sleekly. Paint the walls a fashionable color and place your monogram wall decal over the cabinets in the soffit area. Add a few silk, or real, plants to each side and you have created a subtle and elegant feature which is truly unique.

Because wall decals are made from such high quality materials and are laser cut, they look just like they have been painted professionally. Monograms are just the beginning. You can use chalkboard decals in a play room, clock decals to make a stunning statement in the library or the silhouette of a famous actor in your home theater. Best of all, they are so simple to install you can handle the job on your own.
