Copper Sculptures- ‘Traditionally Modern’
Copper sculptures are considered as a very old form of art, which can be traced back to the days of Purepecha Indians residing in Central Mexico. In the pre-historic age, copper was used to shape the different weapons and instruments to create wielding tools for hunting. With time, the significance of its application has changed and now copper is used for making the different sculptures.

Advanced technology is used to create the various copper art forms. The most popular style is creating the sculptures of variety of sheets and then joining the pieces with the use of welding. There is a certain process to it, which starts by forming certain shapes out of the copper sheets by first taking them in bowls.
When in liquid form, it allows the sculptors to hammer the content and produce desirable designs. While using the shaping process, there are possibilities of development of gaps in between the copper sculptures, which are filled by welding rods. There are different color options to choose from and this includes wine red, chocolate brown, black streaks and much more. It depends upon the artist as to what designs and decorations he would like to use.
