Installing a backup system is no longer an option for businesses; it has become a necessity now. One might find his or herself wondering why nowadays backup system has gained such high importance. The reason behind this is that businesses in today’s world cannot afford to stop working even for a day. When businesses are down even for a day they end up losing millions of dollars. The Phenomenon of globalization has allowed businesses to attract customers from all around the globe, so if it is down one day, it loses customers not only from his home country but all over the world.

So it is important for every business to take all the necessary measures that ensure a halt in business activity does not occur. The one and only way of ensuring this is through backup system. When choosing the backup system, there are several things that you need to consider, for instance, the budget of the business, the durability and the efficiency of the system. Lucky for us, a backup system with all these features exists and it is called IBM LTO4 tape system. IBM is the global leader of backup technology, when they get involved in something we know to expect nothing but perfection. IBM LTO4 tape drives have an extremely high processing speed of 120 Megabytes’ per second. This means you don’t have to worry about data jamming or tape’s system going down due to overload. You can process as much data as you want and this LTO-4 tape will continue working efficiently.

The IBM LTO 4 tape, part number 95P4436, can store up to 800GB of uncompressed or native data and twice this much of compressed data. This feature allows your business to store high quantities of data in one single tape, eliminating the need to buy and change tapes on daily basis. You can also use C7974A (HP LTO4 backup tape), and 183906 (Maxell LTO ultrium 4 tape) for long term storage.

IBM 95P4436, LTO4 tape is manufactured with respect to high durability. The purpose of this media cartridge is to reduce the number of times a business has to replace its backup tapes. The LTO 4 tapes are also designed to last for at least 15 to 30 years so that the data that is backed up remains safe and sound in the tape, and can be accessed at any time. LTO 4 media comes with inbuilt cleaning system, whenever the tape senses some dust on the tape head the cleaning sensor automatically gets activated. Having inbuilt cleaning system reduces the maintenance costs of the backup system. LTO4 tape drives also have inbuilt encryption software, this feature eliminates the expenditure that is done to keep the data secure. IBM LTO 4 tape drives perform several features because IBM understands the importance of multi tasking for businesses in today’s age. Businesses that are seeking for a new reliable backup system, LTO 4 is the answer to their question.
