Diablo 3 Monk Guide – the overview of D3 Monk
Monk History
These enchanted monks rely on their Sahptev faith to shape their bodies and mold their minds into incredible weapons. They’ve faced unimaginable trials and endured harsh rituals to become masters of combat. Once anointed monks are ready to represent the Patriarchs, after nearly a lifetime of profuse preparation, so the emblem is placed on their foreheads and they head out to conquer evil and restore balance to the world.
Monk Play Style
Through careful application, chain attacks generate the Monks primary resource: Spirit. Once filled with power, devastating and debilitating special attacks can make use of it. However, it should be noted that Spirit regenerates rather slowly on its own. This means that Monk players will naturally develop rotations, depending on their spec, that allow them to dart in and out of battle displaying impressive physical and magical prowess.
In terms of armor and weapons, Monks only require their regal and ornamented robes. While they have access to things like one-handed axes or spears, their primary proficiencies are staffs and fist weapons like the Katar. These class specific weapons create a unique character to their combat style.
Of course no Diablo 3 Monk would be complete without buffs, and through Mantras that's just what they deliver. They cost 25 Spirit and while only one can be active at a time, each does something different to enhance either the solo Monk or an entire party of adventurers.
Diablo 3 Monk Skills
Primary skills like Fists of Thunder, Crippling Wave, Deadly Reach, and Way of the Hundred Fists are all fast chain attacks that generate 6 Spirit each. Lashing Tail Kick- 30 Spirit, Tempest Rush- 15-25, and Wave of light - 100, are among the secondary signature Diablo 3 Monk abilities.
There are four Mantras: Evasion to increase dodge, Retribution to reflect melee damage, Healing to elevate Life regeneration, and Conviction that increases the Monks DPS.
In terms of technique, the player can choose from Dashing Strike that also roots enemies for one second, Exploding Palm which has the potential to do AOE damage if the target dies while under its effects, and Sweeping Wind which is a six second AOE aura with a stacking intensity.
This Diablo 3 Monk Guide barely scratches the surface of what this class has to offer any enthusiastic gamer. Their personality, the feel of their play style, and the large array of truly unique and signature moves, make the Monk one of the most astounding classes to appear on the MMORPG battle field.
