Building a Great Site for Auctioning Your Products & Services

If you are budding entrepreneur and you plan to start your own bidding site then choosing a good internet service is just as important as your business plan itself. You can explore as many providers as you want including Comcast that I have chosen for my use. Apart from a good internet service, make every effort to promote your site worldwide. Have a liberal sprinkling of articles here and there and optimization them with keywords that can ensure visitors in droves. Match them with good services and you will have become a force to reckon with in the internet arena. However don’t forget the rules that govern good attendance to your bidding site. Here is some of it:

.Don’t make your site restrictive. All bidders from all over the world. Chances are they may not win the bid, but they will certainly help your site get an international outlook.

.Let the last day for the bidding end on the weekend. That is the time when you can expect many bidders to your site. More the bidders better is the chance of getting the right price for your product and service.

.Let you sites policies be as transparent as it is possibly can be. That will ensure that the bidders will keep coming to you for more. A poorly drafted policy paper can be repelling and worse still you may lose your reputation.

.Have a return policy in place. Of course you can have a penal provision to keep the not so serious bidders out of the race.

.Start you auction with a minimum sum; the amount below which a business proposition can be unviable for you. Expecting to get the maximum even before the auction commences will keep many serious bidders out of the race, and that you shouldn’t forget.

.Have a good description of the product you are about to put to auction. Have a good copy written and give as much detail as you can part with safely. If you are auctioning off a pre owned let your visitors know about that in the beginning, rather get embroiled in courts and litigations. The can be very time consuming and don’t forget that you will be receiving adverse comments on blogs once your site has matured.

.Having lots of images can be very assuring to prospective bidders. It will actually give a handle on what they are about to buy. Let the images be very descriptive and clear. You can even give the bidder information like: year of manufacture, transportation cost and even the customs duties the bidders will be expected to pay.

.Be truthful about the shipping charges, if you can, charge your bidders at actual. Never try making a profit on an activity to which you are not morally entitled. Packing charges are okay but see if you can absorb a little of it so that your bidders will return more frequently and for more.

.Have a place in your site that will let bidders give an honest appraisal about your auction site. In fact if you can invite them to give your site a feedback it should be good for you. Honesty is what counts at the end of the day.

.Never end a scheduled auction earlier than what you have publicized. It is not a good practice and it can encourage bidders to think that you have been making insider deals. That is not a good thing for your business. Keep everything straight and transparent, accept mistakes if you have made any, and offer to be helpful toward your bidders. And that will help you to scale new heights.
