People who have ever studied in schools know how boring it can be to study in classrooms. The traditional ways of teaching are not liked by a large number of students all over the world. Till some time back it was up to teachers that how well they could engage students in their classes. Schools had no method with which they could make learning fun for the students. With the advent of computers, it has become possible to make learning fun for students.

At present, almost all schools use computers to teach their students. However, most schools do not use any kind of learning portal which reduces the need of using books and notebooks in schools. Students still study computers just as a subject in their course. They are still dependent on books and traditional ways of learning to learn their lessons. There are many schools and colleges which want to use such methods of teaching which are very engaging and fun. With the help of learning portals, it has become possible for schools to teach their students in an interesting manner.

As most students are comfortable with learning through computers, many schools are also trying to create a Virtual learning environment for the students. By having a Virtual learning environment, schools will be able to teach pupils in a manner which is loved by them. Students love to use computers and they would also like when they will be taught with the help of computers. Many students do not like to carry heavy school bags to their schools. When computers are used for teaching in schools then students do not need to carry various books with them.

Various important slides and notes can be shared with students with the help of the Learning management system. By using a Learning management system, schools will also be able to make the parents of students happy because this system lets parents to check the progress reports and attendance of their children through internet. Parents do not need to come to school and meet the teachers for knowing how well their children are doing. They can check whether their children are attending school regularly or not; at anytime.

Some schools which do not hesitate in adopting new methods of teaching have adopted the SharePoint learning management system. The number of those schools which are using Education portal is increasing with time. More and more schools are realizing that they can reduce the cost of teaching by using learning portals. Also, students and parents want schools to adopt learning portals.

There are many people who are very much concerned about the environment and such people want to get their children in those schools where learning portals are used. In such schools, papers are used very less. Students are taught with the help of power point presentations. By using less papers, schools decrease the demand for papers and as a result of this, less number of trees are cut. This is beneficial for the environment.
