Parents Role in Making the Children Punctual
It was one of my routine activity to see Rohan running towards his school bus and his mother shouting on him “Rohan you are late again…run, run, run fast…”. One fine day I heard Rohan’s mother not shouting but howling. I went straight to their home and got to see that Rohan standing with a piece of paper and his mother was about to beat him up. The reason of such a scenario was a complaint letter that has come from his school because he used to get late almost every day. The surprising thing was, Rohan did not get late ever after that incident. He learned the phrase “Better three hours too soon than a minute too late” in its true sense.
Student life is the best part of a person’s life and that is the reason why we call those days the golden days. It is the age when a person is young and can live a life that is free from all worldly hassles. Some children use this freedom in a very wrong way. Students believe this to be a time to eat, drink and play. Students of these days spend most of their time in cinema halls, canteens and playgrounds. They do not realize what life is exactly and repent later. Though, it is not exactly their fault. It is their parents who should make them realize what is wrong and what is right for them.
One of the expected traits in students is punctuality. One who is punctual means the person is well-disciplined. Punctuality does not only mean reaching somewhere on time. It also includes doing everything on correct time. When it comes to studying on time, then parents should make their children go to their respective study tables on time. To make the children punctual, parents should follow certain steps, such as:
1. They should ask the children to always keep a watch with themselves.
2. They should keep clocks in every room.
3. They should train their children to wake up early in the morning.
4. Make a timetable for them and make them follow it.
5. Teach them to make plan their events early and not to wait for the eleventh hour.
6. Teach your children to observe where they have lost time and correct it.
Children learn anything and everything easily and fast when their parents teach them. Therefore, it is the prime duty of the parents to teach their children all the good habits and disciplines as well.
