Earth minerals such as precious metals and stones are not easy to find, but they cost a fortune if you’re ever going to sell one especially if they come in huge amounts. Aside from the fact that these rare raw materials are difficult to find, their usefulness in various aspects in our modern society makes them even more valuable. Gold for instance is used not only for decorative ornaments or as a monetary substitute, but it is also vital to major electronic and satellite components without which none could function at the optimal desired level.

While gold and other precious metals have a high economic value, gemstones on the other hand are mostly used for decorative and ornamental purposes. However, precious stones are also used in laser technology and they range from medical/surgical cutting lasers to ultra-powerful weaponized military lasers. Also you can see that these precious minerals vary in value depending on karat/carat or amount of impurities in them, their overall size and mass and their availability or rarity.
