Choosing the Perfect Stream in Class XI
It was a ‘lost in the crowd’ situation for me when I had to choose a stream from Arts, Science and commerce to take admission in class XI. It was one of the hard experiences to choose from. I was in a great fix. It gives you more nightmares when you want to choose something but your parents want you to go for something else. My life till class X was running so smoothly but the sudden jerk was almost stomach squeezing.
I was not the only teen who was suffering from the tension. In fact everybody, who is not highly determined about the selection of an optional stream, faces the same problem. I wanted to study Literature, and therefore wanted to join the Arts, but since my marks of Math and Science came with bright colors on my report card, so it gave my parents more hopes, and they started asking me to join Science stream. Since, I was not ready to upset my parents, so I joined the Science stream and started preparing for my future to become an Engineer.
This was just an example, but there are many students who join any of the streams under the pressure of their parents. Well, it is a vital question for parents that, has anything ever came out with a fruitful result under pressure? Moreover, when it becomes a matter of your future, it really does not help; rather it makes the situation worse.
The problem does not get solved only after joining a stream, the problem continues until you choose the combination subjects that you are comfortable with. Though, many interesting subjects have been introduced in the school level. Three new subjects such as Mass Media, Geospatial Practices and Hotel Management have been introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a few schools of the country. With these subjects, students can make a goal to achieve it. These subjects are also available in the higher educational level in a detail form, which helps them to continue with the same subject.
The introduction of so many subjects also helps the students to make their base strong. Although, the subjects are available in only a few of the schools of the country, but these subjects give a good exposure to the children. If you are a parent and searching for any school that gives almost all types important facilities to the students including few advices to parents as well, then do not be worried. Onlineschooladmissions is a site that introduces you to numerous schools and helps you to find a perfect school that also offers your child with numerous subjects in order to make their base strong.
An online admission agent, we do everything for you right from giving you a choice of schools in India through our online school directory to scheduling an interview for your child from a number of schools. Admissions couldn’t get easier, but then, that’s because OSA understands parental woes that crop up during admission and is dedicated to ease the load off your shoulders.
