Trip to Goa: Goa beach offers a heavenly getaway

A trip to Goa can really refresh you and set your date with some exotic beaches and sightseeing places. Goa boasts of over 40 public beaches which are all extremely picturesque and pristine. A Goa beach is the favorite haunt of all seaside lovers. If you have a fetish for beaches, Goa beach will live up to all your expectations and offer you a breathtaking getaway from the cacophonic cities.

Goa beaches: Goa is famous all over the world for its beauteous beaches remarkably serene and very resplendent. Popular beaches include names like the Baga Beach, Calangute Beach, Miramar Beach, Dona Paula Beach and Candolim Beach. Goa has a long coastline and there is no dearth of good beaches. From the crowded ones to the more quiet beaches- you can get what you want.

Goa sightseeing: Goa is not just famous for beaches. It is also a wonderful place if you wish to go on a sightseeing spree. The beautiful state is adorned with a number of churches and cathedrals including some famous ones like Se Cathedral and Basilica of Bom Jesus. Your trip to Goa will also introduce you to a number of natural spots like the Arvalem Lake, the Dudhsagar Falls and the Bondla wildlife sanctuary. Goa’s real charm lies in its quaint towns and bustling streets. Do not forget to take a stroll on the local streets to witness the face of a beautiful, bustling culture. The forts like the Aguada Fort will throw you back into the medieval era when the Portuguese had established a colony here.

Where to stay: There are excellent hotels in Goa where you can find easy accommodation. You can also stay in guest houses, lodges or in inns. Some people prefer to take up boarding as a paying guest just to get a taste of the local culture. It will be advisable to book hotels in Goa in advance so as to avoid any unwarranted hassle. If you want to stay in a hotel just beside a Goa beach, you can check into the 5-star hotels and resorts.

Where to eat: From restaurants to food joints to cafeteria to the hotels- you can find great food almost everywhere. Goa’s cuisines are known for having a special flavor and for being extremely delicious. Do try the local seafood although you can get both Indian and foreign cuisines very easily.

Where to shop: Anjuna Flea Market and Indigo’s night market are popular shopping destinations where you can dig into some shopping. Prices are usually marked high. So don’t forget to do bargaining.
