Tours Destination in Bohol
There is so much to see around Bohol that one good option is to base yourself in one of the many cheap Bohol hotels, and spend the money you have saved on the accommodation to book some guided tours.
Among the many Bohol sights are the Chocolate Hills. There are over 1000 of these Toblerone shaped mounds that are entirely natural even though, with their regular shape and height (30-50 metres), they seem to have been specially created for tourists. There are plenty of tour options to choose from, and many take in a visit to see the tarsier, the world’s smallest primate and Bohol’s most famous resident.
For a totally different take on cheap Bohol hotels, there is the Bee Farm in the Panglao, which offers accommodation plus the opportunity to live in an eco-friendly environment, and dine on totally organic food. There are free tours of the bee farm, and the chance to join snorkelling groups and whale-watching excursions.
Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity, especially for families and again there are plenty to choose from. The Bohol tourist information offices are good places to pick up details of these and any of the many sightseeing opportunities on offer.
An excursion to the Loboc River is not to be missed. Most tours include a boat trip and lunch with local Bohol music and dancing displays.
For the energetic tourist, there are many walking tours that will take in the Bohol paddy fields, waterfalls, caves and forests.
