Tour to Rajasthan: the Land of Royals

Rajasthan is the land of royals and even today princes exist, though not in power. Tour to Rajasthan is exotic and full of colors. Rajasthan has to offer a package of culture, traditions and folk music that you would not get anywhere else. Package tours in Rajasthan normally include five cities Japiur, Jodhpur, Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and the Sam Desert. One can increase the length of their tour to Rajasthan by including places like Bikaner, Chittorgarh and Ajmer.


Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and is also one of the main cities to see in package tours in Rajsthan. You can see City Palace, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal and visit the famous Chokhi Dhani to enjoy the local flavors.


Jodhpur primarily has Mehrangarh fort which is the biggest fort in entire Rajasthan. Don’t forget to try Laal Maas, a local specialty of this region.

Sawai Madhopur

Definitely the royal palace is there to visit along with the crystal museum and vintage car museum, but the biggest attraction remains the evening cultural programs that include welcome song, traditional Thali dance, Snakecharmer dance, Fire dance, Ghoomar, puppet show etc. you can also dine at one of the roof top restaurants in a haveli facing the lake which is a lifetime experience and it won’t be wrong in saying that your tour to Rajasthan would be incomplete without an evening like that.

Jaisalmer and Sam Desert

The last destination in tour to Rajasthan is Jaisalmer, which attracts tourists all over the world because the real deserts of Rajasthan can be explored only from here. Jaisalmer fort and the five famous havelis can be visited in a day’s time only. You also get time to shop in the local market which is famous for selling camel leather goods.

The best time to visit the Sam Desert is during November to January when the Desert Festival is at its peak. Though it’s a little crowded during this time but it is worth staying in the tents and enjoy desert at night.
