Three Great Options for Indian Holiday
From north to south and from east to west, India is full of stunning places. In no other country can you enjoy such diverse vacations, be it scenically, culturally or socially. Every place you visit is a new experience, a new language, a new cuisine and a new ambiance. Here are four places from the four corners of the country which are great for tourism.
Srinagar is a great place to visit in the north. Located in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar is characterized by lovely lakes, beautiful gardens, imposing snow capped Himalayan peaks and unmatched natural beauty. The cuisine here has some very interesting flavors. The stem of lotus plant is a favored delicacy here and is served in all Srinagar hotels. Since the natural sceneries here are so beautiful, Srinagar hotels make it a point to allow generous views from rooms. A stay in Srinagar hotels is very enjoyable. Sipping a cup of the pink tinged Kashmiri Noon chai or the special coffee Kahwah, from the balcony of your hotel room while drinking in the magnificent views of Srinagar is the best way to spend your holidays. You can also indulge in adventure sports, visit the lakes and gardens of Srinagar and bite into delicious plump fruits.
To the east of India is Puri, which is famous for the Jagannath Temple. Built in 3rd century BC, the temple is considered to be one of the most pious temples in the country. Besides the temple, the beach of Puri is excellent. It is a very safe beach as well. The major event in Puri is the Jagannath Rath Yatra when the residing deity of the temple, Lord Jagannath, leaves the temple for a vacation on grandly decorated chariot. The second major event is the Puri Beach Festival. Puri hotels are completely booked during these two events. The best way to book into Puri hotels is through a travel agent or tour operator. The other way to get reservation in Puri hotels is to book well ahead of the festival season.
In south India, Munnar is a beautiful place. Located in God’s own country, Kerala, Munnar offers breathtaking sceneries and lovely weather. The expanses of tea plantations, lush green forests and the confluence of rivers are great sights here. Munnar hotels offer comfortable stay at very reasonable prices. When you book a Munnar tour, request for a room in Munnar hotels with good views of the mountains and valleys. Several Munnar hotels are located in the foothills of mountains and offer lovely views.
To the west of India, Goa is a great place to visit. The active tourist culture here has given rise to umpteen hotels, inns and resorts all over the state. The beaches of Goa are renowned all over the world and this is probably a place which attracts the most foreign tourists. The best way to spend a holiday in Goa is to book into beachside hotels where you can wake up to the gentle lap of the sea.
So, decide your direction and plan a trip to one of the beautiful corners of India.
