Things to See in Myanmar
Myanmar is a country that is still untainted by the rapid globalization. Although one can find every bit of luxury here and all the top notch amenities have made the way into people’s lives, it can be said that the natural beauty of the country and its unique culture has still evaded the claws of commercialization. If you are planning to go some exotic country, where you will be able to spend some time with your family and friends in serenity, then Myanmar should be the ideal destination. With so many international travel agencies, it will be easy for you to plan your Myanmar tours.
The first thing that attracts your attention is the greenery all around. Because Myanmar is located at the Tropic of Cancer, ample rainfall and sunshine is responsible for the beautiful bright greenery round the year. If you like adventure, and then start with a trip to the Lampi Island Marine National Park in the Mergui Archipelago or the Loimwe National Park in Eastern Shan State. You can also visit Mount Victoria National Park in Chin State or the Popa Mountain National Park in Mandalay Region. And there are many more such reserved areas where you will be treated to the sight of tapirs, gibbons, flying monkeys, crocodiles, pythons and many more wild animals.
The city life of Myanmar is of course teeming with life like any other city. It is the rural landscape of the country that takes your breath away. Head for areas like Mon State, which is made of limestone or Shan State, where you can catch a glimpse of the traditional method of rice cultivation. You may even come across the people of Padaung dynasty who still live the lives they have been living for the past hundreds of years. Try out the local cuisine and you will surely love Mohinga, which is rice noodles cooked in fish soup. It’s not only extremely tasty but very nourishing as well. The monasteries here still follow the Theravada Buddhism, but they have amalgamated it so beautifully with Hinduism as can be seen in Yama Zatdaw, the Burmese version of the Ramayana.
For all these reasons, Myanmar tourism is now steadily on the rise and the government is trying to make most of it and at the same time, provide their guests with everything to make their stay special. You will love your stay in this exotic country for sure.
