The experience of Kempty Fall

Nestled in the Garhwal hills of Uttarakhand in India is the small charming hill station of Mussoorie, also popularly known as "Queen of hill stations". Kempty Falls is undoubtedly the most popular attraction of Mussoorie. This wonderful place is simply the place that no one should miss during their trip to Mussoorie. The exact location of Kempty Falls is nearly 15 km from Mussoorie Main Market, and a well-sealed road takes you near the falls of a hilly course, which you can reach the site of Kempty Falls. high mountain ranges surround this place at an altitude of about 4,500 meters.

Mussoorie is blessed with immense natural beauty and pleasant climate, and is visited by hordes of tourists during the summer months of May and June. The city with its cool climate and offers a pleasant respite for visitors from the scorching heat of the plains during the summer. Mussoorie is located nearly 35 km from Dehradun, and also offers a magnificent view of Himalayan peaks, Shivalik ranges and the Doon valley.

As you get near the falls of Kempty, you can see a magnificent view over the water cascade down from a height of nearly 40 meters, and the division into a number of streams before hitting the rock above the earth. The view of water fall from that height and doing somersaults is an incredible experience for the first time visitors. As you move toward the flow of the stream, you can see coral rock naturally generated by the streams, and during the peak tourist season in summer, this place is very crowded with hundreds of tourists coming to enjoy a dip in the pool water or bathe in the streams. A visit to this site is complete without a swim under the waterfall falls. Fishing can be enjoyed after obtaining a permit from the authorities, and you can find a good number of trout in the pool.

John Mekinan Kempty developed the site falls in a resort town in the mid-19 th century. The name "Kempty" derives from the phrase "the Camp", as was a favorite place among the British officers to organize the tea parties. Moving almost 12 km downhill from Kempty Fall, we reach the shore of the river Yamuna, where the water falls melts.

In addition Kempty Falls, you can also enjoy many other tourist attractions in Mussoorie. The mall is the most vibrant and bustling city, crowded with tourist activities. Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and offers a bird's eye view of the entire region, and you can enjoy the city with the help of a telescope mounted on a tower at Lal Tibba. Company Gardens and Gun Hill include other major attractions of Mussoorie.

The best time of year to visit Kempty Falls in May and June, when you can enjoy a dip in the pool. However, this is also the time when the city is crowded with tourists from Dehradun, Delhi and other neighboring cities to enjoy the cool climate of the hill town. During the winter months from October to February, this tourist attraction is closed to visitors.

You can reach Kempty Falls by taxi from Dehradun or Mussoorie. Dehradun serves as the nearest station of Mussoorie, Dehradun Jolygrant while the airport is the nearest airport. A lot of accommodation options, ranging from luxury to basic, are available for visitors in Mussoorie, and there are numerous hotels as well as the tourist huts available in the area. However, it is better to book in advance for your room if you visit the city during the months of May or June.
