It gives you an opportunity to see the beauty of nature cradle in local flavors and color. No doubt so many people opt for Rail holidays these days. The only problem with such holidays is that one has to get their booking done far in advance. But summer vacation is one time when everyone can vouch for and enjoy traveling to the three most beautiful and important heritage places of India through the Golden triangle tour.

Golden triangle tour takes one along the three nearby and beautiful places: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The trip starts from Delhi railway station and ends here only by dropping the tourists to the Delhi railway station only if you have taken the option of rail holidays.

You start your holiday by sight-seeing Delhi. There are various heritage buildings situated in Delhi like the Qutub Minar and Red Fort. A trip to India Gate is worth paying a visit. Also, one should visit Akshardham Temple and Lotus Temple to see their excellent construction and the craftsmanship that works for them even today.

As you complete your visit of Delhi, next day early morning train will take you to the next destination of your rail holidays, i.e. Agra. Agra is famous for three things; one is the Taj Mahal, second is the Petha sweet and third are the leather good, especially the shoes. While Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of world, is first on the list to visit in your Golden triangle tour, next is the market adjacent to Taj Mahal. Here you will get varieties of Petha and shoes both. You would also be taken to Fatehpur Sikri, which is a few miles away from Agra and Agra Fort.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, forms a prominent place in Golden triangle tour. It has many historical monuments to offer the tourists including Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, the City Palace and Amber Fort. Each has a story to tell and it takes a day to visit all the forts and palaces in Jaipur. You can also visit the Chokhi Dhani at night to see the village life of this part of India and next day early morning head back to Delhi.
