The highlight of Salamanca is its old University which brings life to the town with its young student population. These are the ones who upkeep the town’s vibrancy during the day and night. They throng the university lecture halls during the day on their quest for knowledge and the pubs and bars at night for quenching their thirst and letting their hair down.

However, besides the university lifestyle, there are many interesting places of interest in Salamanca which one would enjoy although mixing with this group of youngsters does have a youthful impact on all.
