Although Leh has a plethora of sights and places as tourist attraction but one of the most striking things one will notice instantly is the group of women. Traditionally attired you will find them selling vegetables, fruits and various household articles. You may even find them knitting and spinning along with exchanging gentle banter with the passers-by.

Considering that Ladhakh is only source of connection with the world outside, one can enjoy its exotic beauty only seven months in the year. If you have the experience and would like to challenge your ability then this place is the perfect spot for trekking. Markha and Rumbak offer you most exciting treks along with Stok Kangri being the best for climbing.

One of the happening places to visit in Leh Ladakh and Himalayas is the Leh Palace. The palace was built by the kings of ladakh and overlooks the entire town from the southern west slope of the Tesmo Hills. It is eight storey palace built in the 16th century and resembles much to the famous Potala of Lhasa.
