Leh Ladakh, a part of Jammu and Kashmir is situated at a height of 11,000 ft. the place offers you the company of majestic mountains along with an atmosphere and environment of complete beauty. Although Leh has a plethora of sights and places as tourist attraction but one of the most striking things one will notice instantly is the group of women. Traditionally attired you will find them selling vegetables, fruits and various household articles. You may even find them knitting and spinning along with exchanging gentle banter with the passers-by.

Considering that Ladhakh is only source of connection with the world outside, one can enjoy its exotic beauty only seven months in the year. If you have the experience and would like to challenge your ability then this place is the perfect spot for trekking. Markha and Rumbak offer you most exciting treks along with Stok Kangri being the best for climbing.

One of the happening places to visit in Leh Ladakh and Himalayas is the Leh Palace. The palace was built by the kings of ladakh and overlooks the entire town from the southern west slope of the Tesmo Hills. It is eight storey palace built in the 16th century and resembles much to the famous Potala of Lhasa.

The Buddhist monasteries are other tourists attractions which are sure to leave you spell bound. Monasteries are something which one has always fancied about, all thanks to the various novels and books. So, with the visit to Leh Ladakh you can see them live in front of your eyes.
