Glory of New seven wonders

With modernization in technology and less time among the people the new seven wonders foundation organized an online poll to decide the new Seven Wonders of the World. More than 100 million people took part in this online poll and among the 21 shortlisted monuments they decided the latest Seven Wonders of the World. After a perfect poll on 7th July 2007 the association announced the new seven wonders. They monuments are called Seven Wonders of the World because of their excellent and magnificient architecture that has been attraction travelers towards them since ages and have been marked as the new Seven Wonders of the World.

Pyramids of Giza, Egypt

The only surviving structures of the original seven wonders, the pyramid was built for 4th dynasty pharaohs about 4500 years ago for King Cheops.

Colosseum, Italy

The giant amphitheater in Rome with 50,000 seats which has influenced the design of modern sports stadiums was an arena where thousands of gladiators dueled to death and Christians were fed to the lions.

Great Wall of China

The 4, 160 mile barricade running from east to west in northern China is the longest man made structure in the world. It was built to protect the dynasties from invasion by the Huns, Mongols, Turks and other nomadic tribes.

Taj Mahal, India

The white marble domed mausoleum in Agra was built by Mugal emperor Shah Jahan between 1632 and 1654 for his favorite wife Mumtaj Mahal who died during her child birth in his absence.

Petra, Jordan

The ancient city of Petra in south western Jordan, built on a terrace around the Wadi Musa or valley of Moses was the capital of the Arab kingdom of the Nabateans.

Christ the Redeemer statue, Brazil

The 125 foot tall statue of Christ the Redeemer with outstretched arms overlooks Rio de Janeiro from top of Mount Corcovado. The statue was built by Polish- French sculptor Paul Landowski in the year 1926.

Machu Picchu, Peru

Built by the Incas empire in the 15th century the giant walls, palaces temples and dwelling of machu Picchu scantury are perched in clouds about 8000 feet above the sea level in the Andes mountains.

Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Mexico

The step pyramid surmounted by temple survives from sacred site that was part of one of the greatest Mayan centers of Mexico Yucatan peninsula.
