Damnoen Saduak: This floating market is located at Ratchaburi Province about 1.5 hours from Bangkok. The canal where the market sits connects the Mae Klong River with the Tacheen River. The traditional way of selling goods is quite alluring to both locals and foreigners. On weekends, you can the massive crowds selling purchasing foods, fruits and other local items. Visit to this market is really a worthwhile trip.

Khlong Lat Mayom: This popular marketplace is not so much rowdy but quite popular among the tourists. Endowed with green trees, cool shades and a much more relaxing environment, Khlong Lat Mayom is quite impressive. Like many other floating markets, it also takes place at weekends and public holidays, and remains active from 8am to 5pm. The market is divided into portions, and has many stalls selling goods of varied range.

Bang Nam Phueng: Located in a farming community of Phra Pradaeng, only a short drive from Bangkok, this is an ideal retreat for those seeking escape from busy city life. This market is quite large and has a large of number of stall catering the local people and the tourists alike. Someone on a Bangkok tour must visit this market that is really a paradise for food lovers and peace seekers.

Chan Floating Market: Famous for its fresh selection seafood, this market is held at weekends just in front of the Taling Chan District Office. Once a small shopping place for the locals, this market has now gained a huge popularity among tourists who wish to discover the traditional Thai way of selling. Visit to this market on Saturday, and you see a huge crowd selling or purchasing a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and local ornaments.
