Pharos Island is a mere 45 minute boat ride from Al Aqabar, in the Gulf of Aqaba and is the perfect spot for a day of water activities. History lovers can explore the Crusader castle, so there is something for all the family here. There are plenty of boat-hire companies offering excursions; they usually leave early in the morning and return in the evening, giving visitors a long relaxing day on the beach.
