And it is not just Largerfield who is cashing in on the Olympics, the creative teams at Miu Miu have created a collection of gold, silver and bronze special edition bags, shoes and tech-accessories which went on sale on the day the Olympiad began.

Gold is the ideal colour to improve the look of any party outfit. If you want to add some glitter to your dress without being too obvious then you should go for gold shoes. Gold shoes work beautifully with darker, more subdued colours. Dark greys, different intensities of black and navy are stylish and glamorous as Victoria Beckham showed this month.
