Safest airport parking – underground
Underground airport parking is by far the safest way to store your vehicle while you are on holiday, and it also allows you to use by far the best mode of transport – the car – for getting to the airport in the first place.
When you consider your airport transport there are multiple options available to you. On the one had you can opt to take public transport. To this end there are again multiple options – and you can choose to either take the train, or to go by coach. Either way there are a lot of dangers here and a lot that can potentially go wrong. One problem is that both coaches and trains are susceptible to changes in time table, meaning that one unfortunate last minute change could see you arriving late to your holiday.
The other negative thing is that with either a coach or a train journey, you will have to make multiple changes and this will mean heaving all of your luggage from one to the other and it will mean having to rush across platforms. Again it only takes a delay or a problem for you to miss your connection and suddenly you aren't able to make it to your airport on time meaning you miss your flight and potentially your holiday.
The fact you are travelling with the general public isn't great either, and neither is the fact that you pay for multiple tickets instead of just one price for everyone.
So the other option is airport taxi, and this means that you can get door to door transport and not have to drive. It's great – but it's also very expensive. Furthermore it means that you are reliant on your taxi service actually showing up and this can be a nerve wracking moment as you touch down and hope that they remembered/were a trust worthy organization.
So driving yourself it is – which will allow you to arrive at whatever time you like, and which will enable you to guarantee you'll have a ride back waiting for you as well.
But then you need to park somewhere, which potentially ads to the cost of this whole event, and which can be rather worrying while you're on holiday. That's why parking underground is such a great move – and there are many reasons this is much safer.
First of all, by parking underground you will be able to enjoy a lot more security. Overground there are countless routes 'in' to the carpark, but underground there are only one or two entrances and exits that need to be guarded. More importantly while being overground puts your car on display to every passing thief, below ground you know that no one is even seeing your car. Most criminals won't even know that there are cars down there, and so it will never occur to them to try and break in. This works just perfectly for one simple reason – that being that most crimes are crimes of opportunity and not premeditated.
And finally by being underground you area also safe from sap, manure, hail and the bearing down sun.
