Yamaha Commercial PM5D Digital Console

Yamaha Commercial PM5D Digital FOH/ Monitor console offers extraordinary sound and versatility in a relatively small and portable system. It provides easy usability and delivers unmatched sound, control and reliability without adding external outboard processing gears. PM5D was released in 2004 and gained so much popularity and now it has become a standard for digital live mixing. It has found new levels in the revolution of digital mixing consoles.

PM5D V2 Digital mixing console can accommodate a total of 130 input connections with 48 channel inputs, four stereo inputs, five 2 TR IN’s plus four Mini-YGDAI slots. It can handle up to 64 inputs simultaneously. Every input channel has 4- band EQ plus a high pass filter, a separate gate and processor and a delay of up to 1000 milliseconds. It contains 24 mix buses that can function as sub masters or auxiliary sends, stereo A and B and CUE buses. PM5D digital mixing console also offers an 8 output mix matrix that is invaluable for setting up sub mixes for a variety of applications. The matrix outputs contain 4-band EQ, compressor and delay.

There are also eight independent SPX2000 class-multi-effect processors that can be patched into any of the console’s input, stereo, mix or matrix channels that offers a comprehensive range of reverb, delay, modulation and combination effects. Pm5D V2 digital mixing console supports 44.1 KHz, 48 KHz, 88.2 KHz 96 KHz internal sampling rates. All internal processing is 32 bit and it ensures that there is no loss of audio quality at any point in the signal path.

All parameters in the PM5D digital mixing console are recallable in up to 500 scenes and a perfect mix can be obtained. This feature is important in high turn over applications to accommodate a number of totally different acts every day. It also features a flexible recall safe function that enables on the spot cancelation and alteration of the pre-programmed settings. There are four rear-panel Mini-YGDAI expansion slots that allow you to use a range of MY series expansion cards. The audio processing capabilities of PM5D V2 can be enhanced by cascading to a DME64N digital mixing engine. Several PM5D digital mixing consoles can be cascaded in parallel bi-directionally to create a huge system.

PM5D V2 digital mixers also come with Yamaha’s incomparable built in ADDON EFFECTS. That provides immediate access to acclaimed REV-X Reverb programs as well as the compressor 276; compressor 260 and EQ 601programs for the AE-011channel strip package the open Deck programs from the AE-021 Master strip package.

Yamaha’s PM5D V2 digital mixing console features an enhanced security system that keeps the system operating flawlessly in any application. It is fully compatible with the DSP5D Editor Computer software. The most important feature of PM5D is that it contains an HA library that allows the gain and other parameters of the internal microphone pre-amplifier to be recalled in one operation. PM5D digital mixer provides elegant, efficient and eminently practical physical control surface that offers direct access to all of the major functions.
