How to Write a Book

The history of book printing traces back to the first bibles that was published centuries ago. The first printing released to attempt to convert handwritten books into printed books. Centuries ago the book publishers have gradually established about how the books are written. Books are worldwide recognized as source of knowledge and wisdom. The ways books are constructed have established a broad guidelines or convention about how the books constructed. Though the type of design of the book is more often compared to architecture but you can argue that construction of book is some way is architectural. Identifying the parts of book for creating first line of business of first order and the convention in which order wisdom is inherited knowledge of the book by all the book creators that preceded us. You may follow the following list to make your own book.

Major Divisions of the Book

Books are generally divided into three parts first is Front matter, second the body of the book and third is back matter. Each part contains very specific matter, and those parts matter should come up in specific order.

Front matter

Pages those are front side of the book, before body is called front matter. These pages usually numbered with roman numerals.

Half Title - Also known as bastard title, it is the first page you showed when cover page is opened, this page only contains the Title of the page. This page and its back, or left-hand reverse of the page are usually eliminated in an attempt to reduce the length of the book.

Title page – Title, sub-title, author, publisher of the book and other may be found on this page of the book

Copyright page – This page carries copyright notice, edition information, publication information, printing history, cataloging data, legal notices, and the books ISBN or identification number

Dedication – Not many authors have dedication page in their book but those who has dedication page in their book

Epigraph – An author may wish to add epigraph a quotation near front of this book. Epigraph can appear in the table of contents

Table of contents –Table of contents also known as contents page, on this page list of the major division of the book including parts a of the book.
