Nightlife in Albufeira Algarve

Albufeira has a thriving nightlife scene and many of the clubs and bars are open well into the early hours. Many young singles flock to Albufeira during the summer months, to take advantage of the vibrant club scene.

Tourists seeking late nights flock to “The Strip” located away from the centre of town. Irish bars are popular in the Algarve and always seem to be full of people. There are several Irish Bars in the Old Town in Albufeira and the most popular is probably Malone’s. The bar is rustic and is frequented by a lively crowd. The Guinness flows freely as Irish tunes are played to a willing audience. This place is perfect for a pre-club night for the younger crowd or perfect for those wishing to stay out for last orders.

Nightclubs are open until 5am and most focus on techno and R&B music.

For a more sophisticated atmosphere, try one of Albufeira’s many wine bars, some dotted around the beach area. O Patio is a fabulous wine bar in the area and serves tapas style dishes. The chilled king prawns are amazing and reasonably priced. There is also a huge selection of wines to choose from and Portugal is famous for its Rose Wine. The staff at O Patio are more than happy to recommend wine to you, just as an aperitif, or to accompany your meal.
