Things to do in Tallahassee include:

- Visiting the campus of the Florida State University. A much-heralded school that counts a stellar sports program and well-known schools for music and business, the campus is a gorgeous mix of modern and old-fashioned brick architecture. Florida State has the ambience of a northern school without the harsh weather, making it a very popular choice for students. Buy a ticket to the Florida State circus and watch as students perform under the Big Top, or locate a much-coveted ticket to a Florida State football game and join thousands of screaming fans as you cheer on the garnet and gold. Get the most of your campus experience by asking students where they spend their time when they’re not in class, and scope out a few of the ‘hot spots.’

- Learn how the government works by spending your time where the lawmakers decide the future of Florida. Find a way to sit in on a debate or just tour the buildings and remain a quiet observer. If you want to make your presence known, coordinate your time in Tallahassee with the passage of a bill you care strongly about, and join the throngs of supporters or non-supporters to let your congressman or woman know how you feel. Just don’t forget to also budget time for exploring the fabulous city.

- Eat your way through all the delicacies that Tallahassee has to offer. Among the things to do in Tallahassee, eating is definitely one of the most enjoyable. You’ll find stellar examples of nearly every cuisine in Tallahassee. Consult the locals and you will find the hidden culinary gems that lurk around most corners.
