Basic overview of mobile application and its applications
Introduction:
Mobile application is a software application configured for low power handheld device like Iphone, smart phones, ipad and tablet computers. It is pre-installed on phones for various mobile software distribution platforms. It can also be known as Mobile Apps. Mobile application plays a vital role and has a great growth. People’s expectation for it increases higher and higher. They opt for app store where according to the OS the application changes in mobile. These applications are created using programming languages like C, C++, java, java script, HTML, XML, .Net, visual basic.
It runs on smart phones and other handheld devices for internet connections like WIFI, mobile broad band or wireless network.
Some of the pre-installed mobile apps in all mobiles are messaging- SMS, MMS, E-mail, chat; music player, calendar, calculator, games, GPS (Global Positioning System) navigation device, security code, camera, radio, video player, voice recorder, connectivity- Bluetooth, USB, WIFI, General Packet Radio System (GPRS) and browser- social networking, video demonstrator, etc; where as others have to be configured from internet.
Iphone Mobile Application Development:
Iphone is a multimedia enabled smart phone introduced by apple and in the history of technology the first device to introduce touch screen and was released in 2007. The original iphone was a GSM phone. It is the best impacts for smart phones and explores a new platform which makes us find a new possibility of applications which has never existed before. They are many versions, latest one was Iphone 4s.
Android Mobile Application Development:
Android, a Linux based open source operating system which follows java as a base. It was founded by Andy Rubin, Rich miner, Nick sears and Chris White in 2003.Later; it was acquired by Google in 2005. It’s an open source alliance not only Google owns it, many others too. Android applications are one of the leading market in industry with more than 50,000 applications. It’s used especially in smart phones and tablets.
Blackberry Mobile Application Development:
Blackberry is a multitasking handheld device as its own blackberry OS developed by Research In Motion. It supports java2 platform and enables you to stay connected. The major feature of is track wheel, trackball and latest is track pad. It is also one among other smart phones but they own special features when compared to others.
Symbian Mobile Application Development:
Symbian OS is an open source mobile operating system currently used in Nokia handheld devices and smart phones. It was originally developed by Symbian Ltd and currently handled by Accenture on behalf of Nokia. First OS which is programmed in C++ when compared to others as they depend on java.
Windows Mobile Application Development
Windows Phone is a mobile phone operating system developed by Microsoft, and is the successor to its Windows Mobile platform. Windows phone was initially named as Windows phone 7, as it was not wordy they changed. It was originally used in Pocket PC 2000. It’s a collaboration of visual studio and .Net framework.
Ipad Application Development
Ipad is a multitouch portable device was first developed and introduced by Apple. It works under the same OS as Iphone works. The size and weight of an Ipad comes more or less equal to smart phones. And so they are called as first generation and second generation. It is as same as tablet computers and the applications in it are as similar as smart phones and computers.
