The shifting mail services by a large company like Motorola to Google Apps shows a marked change of how large companies, which have distributed resources, across multiple locations, are favourable to cloud services. In fact, recession is making cloud more attractive. Rezopia idea came out of recession. When travel industry was suffering, we thought why make technology a big cost in that problem. Our software can actually save costs and in the same though process we said during recession if small and medium business models have to survive, they need larger technology at lesser cost. Recession is helping cloud than hurting it. We have to come up with a different model which interests Asians and working on it. Though infrastructure backbone (internet) is still a problem in India, companies are using cloud more than ever due to the cost factor. The other interesting fact is that there are lot of companies based in India like Dojo, Kayako which have existed as cloud offering for a while now and have been extremely successful.”
