African American Relationships

Relationships are difficult to begin with but take an interracial relationship and many times this can be even more of a challenge. Such an African American relationship will lead to trouble for the couple especially from outside influences. Although we live in a civilized society, racial discrimination still continues to demean humanity still today in several parts of the world. Still, black people are not easily made a subject of veneration by others. Step into the streets of America, South Africa, or United Kingdom and such scenarios are very much visible. Other than Asia, Middle East, and African regions (excluding South Africa), even black relationship are faced with threats from society.

Once a black man starts to date someone from a different race, the man will face several threats. In fact, there are several instances where the poor man has to give away his life only for the sake of loving a white lady. Often news about “negro murder” comes out at pages of newspaper. It’s so disappointing that we call ourselves civilized. So, is this what happens in civilized world? If this is the scenario, then I feel ashamed to be a part of it. Who are we to judge people merely by their skin color? It’s all God’s creation. Does the color of blood within the veins of a black person different from that of a white? No, absolutely not. Then, why such discrimination and injustice over the black community!

There are many NGOs who have been conducting frequent campaigns against such racial discrimination. Some international celebrities are also joining hands. Renowned celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has adopted two black children. Their concern for black love should be a great example to the world and white society. Both Brand Pitt and Angelina Jolie are from the white society. They are biological parents of three children. So, what’s the concern to adopt three more children? And among these three adopted children, two are of African origin and one Asian. This clearly suggests that society is changing. The change is bound to happen. It may be taking place in a lethargic pace, but still there will be a time in the recent future when black love relationships between African and American will not be treated in an abusive way. The whole mankind waits eagerly for that day to arrive.
