Rumour-RIM can Ditch BB10 OS and Adopt Windows phone 8
Author: anup19 | Posted: 04.07.2012Rumours are on their Height, In a recent report it rumoured that RIM is going to adopt Windows Phone 8 OS for their future smart phones.
In a report by Reuters, they have written that Research In Motion Ltd’s board is under mounting pressure to consider unpalatable options such as selling its network business or forming an alliance with Microsoft Corp after the Blackberry maker again delayed the release of its next-generation smartphones,
said three sources familiar with the situation.
The main reasons, that are arising these kind of rumours, are the decrements in the market value of
blackberry and the delay in the release of their most anticipated Blackberry 10 Operating system.
The Blackberry 10 OS was promised to be released this year but with an announcement this month BB
postponed the release to early 2013.
As per the market analysis, it’s seen that the market share of blackberry is slashed down to about $4.1 Billion, which is less than 70% of the previous year’s Stats.
Reuters report also considered that RIM may be considering selling its network to a private equity firm or technological company. They’ve written,”The buyer could then open up RIM’s network operating
centers to other smartphone providers, allowing them to also provide highly secured emails and other services to companies and government agencies.
Favoring the rumours, It is in reports that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has approached the Canadian Blackberry maker, hoping to strike a partnership with them as they have already in support of Nokia in their bad.
it may be quite hard to digest a Rearsearch in Motion(RIM) and Microsoft partnership, This partnership may effect RIM’s core enterprise market reputation but can be very helpful to change the stats around the market.
At this time Microsoft is getting a little heavier and doing all possible thing to knock in to the market showing off Windows Phone 8′s enterprise features, and the features that integrate with
corporate Exchange servers and Windows PCs.
According to me, this partnership will be totally suitable for BB to remain and survive in market and will also provide BB to spend much more time developing best BB phones rather than struggling and
fighting in the market to enhance their BlackBerry OS.
