Nightlife in Busan
Author: DirectRooms1 | Posted: 28.11.2011Busan is one of South Korea’s major cities and a popular destination for many Western as well as Eastern tourist. The metropolis, second only to Seoul in terms of size with some 3.5 million inhabitants, has a thriving nightlife. Visiting the city for its many temples, historical richness or for shopping, you can relax in a wide variety of places in the evenings.
As a major port city, Busan has long been open to global culture. Although South Korea is in many respects a traditional society, ever-deepening globalisation has resulted in a liberal atmosphere in Busan.
Busan currently has many bars, restaurants, nightclubs, cinemas and theatres. Although most of these are in or near the city centre, each region of the city tends to have some form of nightlife so you do not always have to travel far. Busan has Western style nightclubs as well as traditional style Korean places featuring local musicians.
You can choose from the lively to the relaxed, although many places still close around midnight. This is remnant of the previous military rule. However, there are special designated Tourist Areas that open 24 hours.
Finding a Busan hotel at DirectRooms, you can plan your day and night time activities depending on your requirements. Many hotels, of course, have their own entertainment and places to relax; you can check these on the website or by calling directly.
