High Voltage Scion tC Review from Ancaster Scion
Author: MethewPitt | Posted: 25.11.2011Scion introduces the limited edition “High Voltage” Scion tC Release Series 7.0. For a limited time Ancaster Scion is offering drivers the chance to get their hands on this electric ride, the first car ever forged by the hand of Zeus. With only 175 in Canada, the “High Voltage” Scion tC holds godly power and magnetism. Driving a Scion car like the High Voltage tC can make you feel more than a mortal: It can make you feel like an Olympian.
Scion cars are striking. Decked-out with body and performance modifications, the Release Series vehicles stand out more than ever. Every release features an exclusive finish, and the High Voltage Scion tC’s muscular, coupe body looks like it’s poured from electrified gold.
Other exclusive features of the High Voltage Scion tC include a Toyota Racing Development (TRD) push-start ignition – the first of its kind in a Scion car. The keyless, proximity-unlocking ignition makes firing up Zeus’ chariot a mortal-wowing experience and getting in and out an act of sheer divinity. A full TRD body kit, including side skirts and lowered front and rear bumpers, and the aggressively styled honeycomb grille gives the High Voltage sharper looks than its already-sporty stock counterparts. The electric look is amplified by the 18” gloss black rims the car sits on.
The colour-coordinated interior matches the exterior finish to produce a consistently cool appearance. A titanic Pioneer audio system, featuring Bluetooth technology, pumps out a glorious 200 watts of sound. A leather wrapped steering wheel imbues godly luxury to the driving experience, and a numbered badge tells drivers which Release Series 7.0 tC (out of 2200 in the entire earthly realm) is under their command.
Under the hood drivers find a 4-cylinder, 2.5L, DOHC, 16-Valve, Electronically Fuel Injected engine. The 180hp, 173lb-ft of torque powerhouse makes the High Voltage move as fast as it looks. The rated fuel economy is 9.2L/100km in the city and 6.4L/100km out on the highway when taking advantage of the High Voltage tC’s fun-to-drive 6-speed manual transmission.
