Hidden cameras may have badly affected the lives of many people. But do you know that there are several uses for the same? After all, technology is developed for the betterment of mankind. So it all depends on the way we use it.

Mostly, hidden cameras are used to enforce different laws, especially traffic related ones. They are not only installed in traffic signals but also in radars and street lights. As such, the traffic authority keeps a check on your driving speed. They are also used in offices, mostly in banks and ATMs. By recording footage of the visiting customers, banks can track them easily whenever a situation arises.

For instance, such hidden coverage has become very much handy for the police to pin down many bank robberies. Same is the case with supermarkets. They can not only reduce pilferage but also track the number of customers visiting the stores. At times, it is also used as a research technology, where the camera will be focused at a particular location to see how customers respond to new products within the store.

In offices, they can be used to monitor employee behavior and performance. Management can track more details about how each employee spends his time within the office. However, some employees feel uncomfortable knowing that they are being watched. So, it may affect the employee performance also.

Among the different types of hidden cameras, the hidden spy cam has always been the favorite of investigators and journalists. Though they are mostly incorporated within the shirt buttons, they come in other formats also. Most of the times, they are used to prey on politicians but, even business people have faced the wrath sometimes. Off late, some antisocial elements have started creating havoc in the life of celebrities also. They not only record personal and sexual footages of celebrities, but also find pleasure in publishing them over the internet.
