But the official new 7 wonders of world were decided by more than 100 million votes casted to represent the global heritage throughout the history. This global contest was organized by the New 7 wonders foundation the brain child of Swiss filmmakers and museum curator Bernard Weber in order to protect humankind’s heritage across the globe. After the online poll was conducted the new 7 wonders were announced on 7th July 2007 in Lisbon, Portugal.
