Taking a tour is one of the best ways to see the whole city. Strolls along the River Dee are recommended; it is very scenic and relaxing. Alternatively, you can walk the whole perimeter of the city by following the Roman walls. Chester is a fortified city and in fact is the only Roman fortified city that still has its walls intact.
