Bristol Tours Destinations
If you are staying in the city, tours are the best way to do a little sightseeing. Visitors who have opted for cheap Bristol hotels may be on a budget and a sightseeing tour is an easy way to see a number of attractions and learn about the city without spending too much money.
There are a number of open-topped buses operating tours of the city. The guides are well informed and trained and they will provide you with a commentary that tells you everything you need to know about the places you are passing.
Some tours will take in attractions such as the SS Great Britain, the Avon Gorge, the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Zoo, where you will be left to spend a few hours before being collected later. Tours last from one to several hours.
Most tours run all year round, although there are some that operate only during the summer months. Several of the tour buses give you the option of buying a ticket and hopping on and off at one of the many stops along the route; tickets are usually valid for 24 hours. Tour buses also offer vouchers for entry to a number of attractions along with children’s activity packs.
If you prefer and there are a large number of people in your party, you can hire a tour bus on a private basis. You will be provided with a guide and you will be able to choose the route and the stopping points yourself.
