Seabourn Legend in 1997 Movie

Starring one the world’s most luxury cruise-liners, the 1997 action thriller movie Speed 2 features the stunning Seabourn Legend cruise ship.

Produced and directed by Jon de Monc, the film stars the beautiful and talented actress Sandra Bullock and her co-stars, Jason Patric and Willem Dafoe. Of course, where else would 20th Century Fox want to film this action packed thriller than on the decks of one of the worlds most luxury cruise ship?

The film crew manage to capture the Seabourn Legend in an attractive frame as it sails across the waters. However, the Sturgeon Atlantic, a different cruise ship, was used to build a false interior hull and bridge. For its more exhilarating part where the ship crashes into the pier, all special effects have been created by computer and a life size creation of the front of a ship powered by two diesel engines.
