Service Pillars

Hannover Airport has service pillars all around Arrivals and Departures. These are to improve accessibility to the PRM (Passengers with Reduced Mobility) Service and are used to make calls from travellers with reduce mobility. Identified by a wheelchair sign the service pillars can be used with induction loops for people who wear hearing aids. The PRM service is connected by a direct call button so assistance can be found at all times. Trial sensor strips have also been laid on the floor of the airport, leading away from entrances and exits. These strips are luminescent white and abraded, and are designed to assist travellers with impaired sight, although they are also useful in providing better orientation for people with reduced mobility.

Business Facilities

For business passengers Hannover Airport has ideal facilities, The Mövenpick Conference Centre is situated between Terminals A and B. There are 10 different conference rooms seating from 5 to 350 people. Conference and business facilities are also available in the two Hannover Airport hotels, one at the Maritim Hotel Airport Hannover and the other at the Holiday Inn Airport Hannover.

Other Facilities

Hannover Airport has a host of other facilities for passengers. There are ample toilet facilities, many of which provide disabled access, and all lifts are wheelchair accessible. Also provided for customers are banks, ATM machines, bureaux de change, and a post office. For early fliers, a pre-check in service is invaluable, enabling travellers to check in on the night before departure. For drivers, multi storey car parks and an outdoor car park are both within easy walking distance of the airport.
