Set to be held from 10th to 12th February, 2012 at the Coronado High Performing Arts Center in Coronado, the Nations of San Diego International Dance Festival will bring together more than 150 trained dancers and musicians from all over the world. Considered as the Southern California’s biggest ethnic dance festival, it will showcase around 18 traditional performances from different countries. Renowned artists from India, Spain, Ireland, and Middle East will be there to enthrall the guests with their spellbinding performances. Their will be Center for World Music Odissi Dance Academy and Bollywood Tranz from India, Sahar Dance Company from Middle East, Flamenco Arana from Spain, Nos de Chita from Brazil, Blue Ming Chinese Dance Company from China, Teye Sa Thiosanne from Africa, Nanahuatzin Folkloric Dance Company from Mexico, Samahan Philippine Dance Company from Philippines, Malone Academy of Irish Dance from Ireland and more. Mexican Modern Painting
Are you curious to know about Mexican paintings and arts and crafts? Then do attend the upcoming Mexican Modern Painting exhibition till 19th February, 2012 at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park. The Mexican Modern Painting exhibition features lots of paintings from the renowned Andres Blaisten Collection during the period of 1907 and 1962. You can check out the works of various renowned artists such as Diego Rivera, Alfaro Siqueiros, Maria Izquierdo, David Alfaro as well as several painters who works are displaying probably for the first time in San Diego such as Federico Cantú, Angel Zárraga and Alfonso Michel.
San Diego Symphony: A Valentine’s Romance with Broadway’s Best
February is the advent of spring. And love is in the air! On 10th and 11th February, 2012, come to attend the San Diego Symphony: A Valentine’s Romance with Broadway’s Best at 8 pm at the Copley Symphony Hall in DownTown San Diego. It will be delight to listen to some melodious vocals by Hugh Panaro and Jennifer Holliday. You can bring your beloved to this concert and enjoy a lovely evening.
