China – Like a Classic Narrative

China is like a classic tale – narrated with discipline, without many diversions. Still interesting although without dramatic twists and turns and also edifying to the core. Always supplying new insights and experiences at every reading, it is ever new. Seat of one of the ancient civilizations of the world, China is a connoisseur’s delight. History encountering you at every nook and corner, China also has its modern cities along the coastline. The most notable thing about China is that it will be providing novel experiences at every turn and every visit.

China tour package has some prominent attractions. One of such attractions is The Great Wall of China. It is the only manmade structure on earth visible from moon. Great Wall of China is situated just a few kilometers away from Beijing. It is a series of stone and earthern fortifications in northern China, built with the purpose of protecting northern borders of the Chinese Empire against attacks from various nomadic groups. More renowned is the wall built before Christ by the first emperor of China but little of that wall remains today. Majority of the existing wall was built during Ming dynasty. The Great Wall starts from Shanhaiguan in the east and ends in Lop Lake in the west. The archeological survey which was comprehensive and conducted using state of the art technology has found out that the wall measures about eight thousand eight hundred and fifty one kilometers.

Another attraction of package tour to China is Forbidden City. Forbidden City is located in the middle of Beijing. It was the Chinese imperial palace beginning with Ming Dynasty to the end of Qing Dynasty. For almost half a century, it acted as the abode of the emperors and their households. It was also the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government as well. The complex consists of almost thousand buildings. The Forbidden City is testimony to the mastery and suaveness of traditional Chinese palatial architecture. It now houses a museum namely Palace Museum. It is also declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Apart from The Great Wall of China and Forbidden City, China holiday packages include many more attractions in Beijing. In the center of the city is the most important landmark, Tiananmen Square. This is the largest public square in the world. It is included in the must see list of China tourism. The square is surrounded by grand buildings. These include Great hall of the people, Museum of Chinese history, Museum of the Chinese revolution, Qianmen Gate and Forbidden City. The square also includes Chairman Mao memorial hall and monument to the martyrs of people. After the grand success of Beijing Olympics, Beijing proudly bears a new major landmark – National Stadium or Bird’s Nest. This Chinese view as a symbol of a remarkable achievement. The CCTV building and World Trade Center Tower III are outstanding examples of present day architecture. There are many palaces, temples and parks in Beijing and some remains from the medieval period. The important temples of Beijing are Temple of Heaven and lama temple. The important parks are Zhongshan Park, Beihai Park, Chaoyang Park and Ritan Park. The Beijing Zoo is famous for its traditional style landscaping and giant pandas.

Shanghai which is described as the showpiece of booming economy of mainland China has a rich collection of buildings and structures of various architectural styles.
