Those who are staying in cheap Xiamen hotels may want to spend their time sightseeing and this beautiful city in China has many options for visitors who are looking for something to do. Those who are interested in history might want to visit the Xiamen museum, the largest in the city. The museum has a large collection of artefacts relating to this part of the country. The Nanputuo Temple is an ancient monument which has a large number of prayer rooms and visitors can see many representations of the Buddha.
Many visitors to the city opt for a trip to Gulangyu Island. There is no traffic on the island and there are many shops selling locally made handicrafts, which are perfect for that souvenir or gift to take home. The Jimei Turtle Garden is in the south-east of the city. The garden is a jade ornamental garden and visitors can relax listening to traditional music.
Those staying in cheap Xiamen hotels might also want to opt for something of a traditional beach holiday and Xiamen will not disappoint there either. The sandy beaches are ideal in the summer months and are usually filled with holidaymakers. The White Deer Cave is a temple in a cave. Visitors flock to see the ‘fog’ which appears in the mouth of the caves on a summer morning.
For a tranquil stroll, visitors should try the Wanshi Botanical Garden. It has a world famous rose garden and plenty of places to sit and take in the views.
