Working Visa and Living in New Zealand

A working visa New Zealand allows you to work in New Zealand for a limited amount of time. You can apply for a working visa before traveling to New Zealand. You can also apply for a working visa once you are already in New Zealand. Whether you apply onshore or offshore, you may include travel conditions allowing a single entry or multiple entries.

There are four different options for you if you are applying under Work to Residence visa which include the following:

1. Talent (Accredited Employers) Work is for people with a job offer from an employer who we have accredited.

2. Talent (Arts, Culture and Sports) Work is for people with exceptional talent in their field of art, culture or sport for 30 months.

3. Long Term Skill Shortage List Work is for people working in an occupation on our Long Term Skill Shortage List (LTSSL).

4. Long-Term Business Visa is for those who want to do business or set their own business in New Zealand for a long period.

You can apply for a working visa new Zealand if you are the partner or de facto partner, of a New Zealand citizen, residence class visa holder, work visa holder, or student visa holder. To qualify you must be living together with your partner in a genuine and stable relationship at the time the application is made. Your partner must also intend to be in New Zealand for the same period of time.
