The Bars Clubs and Pubs of Kanchanaburi
In the past, the primary activity of Kanchanaburi nightlife used to heavily involve the infamous River Kwai Disco Rafts, which would sail down the river with their blaring loud disco music playing and disturbing the local evening environment. Although these rafts are still in operation today, the city has since become strict with this aspect of its nightlife and the rafts are considerably quieter now. However, if you are looking for a great nightlife experience, you might want to consider venturing out from your Kanchanaburi hotel and visiting any one of the following bars, clubs, or pubs.
Rascals – located on River Kwai Road, Rascals is a great place to go and have fun. Here you will find some UK culinary favourites while listening to some great music or watching sporting events on the big screen.
Fine Thanks Beer Garden – located at the end of the River Promenade, this is a large outdoor beer garden and a very popular spot with the locals and tourists alike.
Red Kangaroo / Four 9's – located in the heart of Kanchanaburi across the street from the River Kwai Hotel, this bar is a great place to sample some of the fine Thai beers and watching satellite TV while at the same time listening to some great stories being told by the locals on a regular basis.
Discovery Night Club – located on the River Promenade, this is the best known and most popular night spots in town. Every night of the week, you will witness a different theme at this ultra-modern club.
