If you want to revel amidst sea, sand and sun, Goa is the place that you should visit. In addition, you also get to experience and see a lot of other things such as ancient churches, temples, mosques, forts, greenery, waterfalls, adventure sports and carnivals. The seafood that is cooked in traditional Goan style is something that will make you want to come back to Goa. In other words, a trip to Goa is a perfect destination that can give you a complete holiday experience.

Goa holds surprises in every nook and corner of the state. These surprises come in the form of little beaches that are not explored by tourists and so, are silent and tranquil. Every Goa beach has something special to offer and the surprises range from shopping, food, water sports and peace to all night partying with people from different parts of the world. The beaches of Goa make it a perfect place for a short holiday. You can stay in a beachside resort and spend your day lounging on a Goa beach. For those who love more activity, there are a number of water sports such as wind surfing, sailing, paragliding and many others. Goa packages are never complete without visits to the beautiful and lively beaches of Goa.

Goa is also home to a number of churches that reflect the rich history of the land. Most of the ancient churches are testimonials of Portugal rule. A tour through various cathedrals, chapels and convents is worth including in your trip to Goa. In addition to these epitomes of Christianity, Goa is also home to several temples, including one of the very few dedicated to Lord Brahma and famous mosques.

Planning a trip to Goa during the carnival season is always worth it. This is one time when you can witness the real culture and pulse of Goa. Not only is every Goa beach thriving with activity, but the entire state is decked up like a bride. It is typically held just before Easter in the month of Lent. The Goa carnival attracts tourists from all parts of the world.

When you plan a visit to Goa, make sure that you do not miss out a trip to the stunning waterfalls called Dudhsagar, which translates to ‘a sea of milk’. The waterfall is a very picturesque place where you can spend a day. Located around 60km from Margao, the spot is good for a one-day round trip from the city and a worthwhile inclusion in Goa packages.

Besides the beaches, you can choose Goa packages that have rural Goa as a major attraction. The acres of agricultural land bring a very soothing ambiance to the entire village. You can also check out spice plantations in Goa. When you visit the countryside, make sure to sample some of the native authentic seafood. It is simply delicious. These places are also perfect to sample the traditional drink of Goa, the Feni.
