Go to the Largest Country in the World-See the Allure of Russia

Russia, though divided into a number of regions, is the biggest country in the world by far, and for international travelers, is a fantastic destination to go to see another atmosphere, culture, and the wide range of both reaching throughout this vast land. There are many different things to see within these borders, from the capitol city of Moscow in the West, all the way to Siberia in the East, spanning from Asia to Europe, and every place in between.

If you're hoping to explore the towns and attractions, and observe more of the cultured aspects of Russian living, then Moscow and St. Petersburg are both fantastic places to start, being two of the most busy cities in the nation. In Moscow, you might go to the Kremlin or Red Square, and one of the most beautiful spots in all of the city, St. Basil's Cathedral, which is instantly recognizable, and was erected in 1555, housed at the epicenter of the city, in the midst of Red Square itself.

The Cathedral, commissioned by Ivan the Terrible, was unique for its time, and the central building is surrounded by ten additional towers, the last of which was erected atop the burial site of St. Basil himself, and as a whole, the complex was designed to resemble a bonfire, with flames reaching up toward the heavens as a symbol of power. Each with wide cultural significance and colorful history to keep you and your fellow travelers very busy over the duration of your travels, other prominent places that are worthy of visiting in Moscow include the Lenin Mausoleum, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, and the Bolshoi Theater.

Tourists with legal Russian visas should also visit the former capitol city, St. Petersburg, which was home to many Tsars in the past and acts as a cultural center, and is also referred to as the Venice of the North, housing a lot of museums, including the State Hermitage Museum on the shore of the River Neva, which is filled with unique items that'll keep travelers entertained during their stay. To avoid missing out on some of the hidden gems housed within, though it can take weeks to traverse the entire extent of the museum, filled with vast wings, each with its own individual magnificence, including the Winter Palace of Peter I, you should plan your trip accordingly.

Anybody with US passports should really put out the effort to go to Russia and explore all of its wonders, taking in one of the most historically relevant nations in the world, and getting a good look at its history fist hand.
