There are many things to do in Brugge that will interest all kinds of visitors. Culturally, there are numerous ways to explore the history of the city and surrounding areas. The Grote Markt, the “big square” in the centre of Brugge, is home to the Belfry where you can climb up the 366 steps to the top of the tower and enjoy the incredible views across the city and hear the bells ring.

Groeninge Museum is known as the “City Museum of Fine Arts,” and houses a collection of art spanning six centuries that focuses mainly on local artists who lived or worked in Brugge.

Visiting the Jerusalem Church will allow you not only to see the very unusual church with an octagonal tower, Gothic stained glass and a chapel containing an effigy of the dead Christ, but also grants you entry to the Lace Museum where you can witness locals learning the craft of lace making.
